Sneak Peek: 2019 Mazda3

Available in March 2019, the completely redesigned Mazda3. Now in the fourth generation, the compact five-seater has evolved with a more elegant sedan body-style and new sportier body for the hatchback. Visit Premier Mazda of Kansas City to be one of the first to test drive the new Mazda3.

The new 2019 Mazda3 will be available in nine different trims encompassing two body styles, Sedan and Hatchback, both front-wheel and all-wheel drivetrains, as well as a choice of between automatic or manual transmission. The base trim will be equipped with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder SKYACTIV®-G engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission which will generate 186-hp and 186 lb.-ft. of torque. Later in the year, a new revolutionary engine will be available in the Mazda3. This ultra-efficient engine could mean fuel economy in the range of 40 miles per gallon in combined driving.

New premium exterior colors to choose from include Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray Metallic, and Snowflake White Pearl Mica. The interior highlights a new driver-centric cockpit design, new front seat-tilt adjustment, and a quieter cabin through the new design which leaves space between the body panels and carpet to better insulate noise. A larger, now 8.8-inch infotainment display comes standard and contains sharper graphics and a revised menu. The speakers have been repositioned to get the highest quality sound through the standard 8-speaker audio system, or you can opt for the premium 12-speaker Bose system.

The i-ACTIVSENSE® safety suite includes blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and radar cruise control. Other innovative safety technology features available on the Mazda3 are cruising and traffic support, and a front cross-traffic warning system, which is unique compared to the more common rear-cross warning system.
