Sneak Peek: 2020 Mazda CX-30

As an addition to Mazda’s new-generation lineup, Mazda is preparing to launch the 2020 Mazda CX-30. This all-new compact crossover will comfortably fit four adult passengers in its rich cabin and will deliver enhanced acceleration, turning and braking. Premier Mazda, serving Kansas City, plans to bring this new SUV into their inventory as quickly as possible following its anticipated release early next year.

Design and Performance

The new Mazda CX-30 compact SUV has a uniquely angled roofline differentiating it from the Mazda CX-3 and Mazda CX-5 SUVs and giving it a more coupe-like appearance. The design offers excellent visibility and generous cargo space. The Mazda CX-30 is expected to be powered by a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission which will generate 186-hp. This new SUV will come standard with front-wheel-drive and the option for an all-wheel drivetrain. The new Mazda CX-30 may employ the new SKYACTIV®-X ultra-efficient engine which has been engineered for a 20-percent improved fuel economy over the current SKYACTIV®-G engine.

Features

For added support and comfort, the Mazda CX-30 will feature newly designed special seats which match the natural curvature of the spine. The dashboard will highlight the infotainment screen, which will be controlled by a rotary knob in the center console. For those who enjoy a quality sound system, you will have a choice between an eight-speaker or twelve-speaker audio system. The cabin will also incorporate vibrant hues and textures, displaying Mazda's commitment to craftsmanship.

Safety

The i-ACTIVSENSE® automated-driver assistance system will be utilized for added safety. This system includes safety features such as automatic emergency braking with pedestrian sensing, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, radar cruise control with stop & go, and blind-spot monitoring. Additional elements may include driver attention alert, high beam control, an adaptive front lighting system, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

Pricing

A starting MSRP of $22,000 is estimated.
